At present we do projects with the same enthusiasm at first, but with the knowledge gathered through the years.
In 2015 we write the executive project for the installation of information traffic digital displays and parking in the urban area of Figueres.
In late 2014 and early 2015 UP we collaborate with Urbis UP as supervision staff to the deployment of a network WiFi-Mesh and sensors on Passeig de Gracia (Barcelona).
In 2014 we participated as direction staff for phase I sensor's control of the work of the square of the Glories (Barcelona), this being one of the first projects implemented by the emissions control (where applied SmartCities technology).
In 2013 together with Urbis UP we participate in the drafting of the implementation of sensors to the works of the Plaza de las Glories.
In 2012, we deploy one of the first pilots low-cost sensors to the remodelling of the avenue of Estatut (Barcelona), outsourced for Urbaser (contractor of works).
In 2011 we started working on projects aimed at SmartCities sensors where we participating jointly with IMI (Institut Municipal d'Informatica) of the town hall of Barcelona, in the design of which should be an array of sensors: PM10, NOx and CO within the area of influence of a work.
In early December 2011 we moved to the town of El Prat de Llobregat, which is currently the headquarters of the company.
During 2010 we participated in drafting the deployment of WiFi-MESH by municipalities of: Sant Cugat del Vallès and Figueres. The latter asks our collaboration for a subcontractor for the drafting of the deployment of a system of surveillance cameras on traffic.
In late 2009, we was deployed a WiFi wireless network for the city of Viladecans, subcontracted by Orange.
We draw up the executive project for the deployment of the first WiMAX network in the city of Sant Cugat del Vallès and also
we participated in the design and deployment of WiFi-MESH by the City of Barcelona subcontracted by Abertis Telecom (now Cellnex).
In early 2009 we changed the name to its current: Eurona ISTAR SL.
In late 2008, the engineering department Eurona Wireless Telecom begins to work independently (excision of the parent company) under the legal form of Cidec a Praxis Technologies SL.
In 2008, one of the first networks WiFi-MESH of the country was citizen access network for the city of Asco (Tarragona) and mitigates the digital divide in the population.
In 2007 we started to develop the first mesh networks in cities of: Barcelona (22 @), Sabadell, Terrassa and Castelldefels. One of the first and most important WiFi MESH networks in private hands that we was deployed in Marina Barcelona 92, where we add our knowledge in systems and we integrate security with IP video surveillance.
In 2006 we began to deploy WIFI centralized systems (wireless switch) in some important projects such as the National Library of Catalonia with 35 access points, Joan XXIII Foundation, City of Sant Feliu de Llobregat and culminating in a project to Neapolis (Vilanova), where we deployed 25 access points (outsourced by Orange).
In 2005 we began to explore other rapidly emerging technologies that we add to our knowledge: IP video surveillance, access control and perimeter security. We deploy a network IP camera in the CAR (Centre Alt Rendiment) to help control access of the different areas. We design and install a network security: IP cameras, recording server and access control, the Terramar golf course. We also saw that we could provide this service to public bodies such as town halls: Polinyà, Salt, San Vicenç dels horts and Tortosa.
Although the company was founded in 2001 in Barcelona, it was not until 2004 that the engineering department Eurona Wireless Networks SL (currently Eurona Telecom SA), began his career developing projects wireless networks (PreWimax and WiFi), networking and routing. In 2004, when they ordered the deployment of one of the first PreWiMAX (5,4GHz) wireless network in the region of the Pla de l'Estany (Catalonia) to communicate the 11 town halls that adding up, with adding radio and electronics. This was one of the first projects of this magnitude in the Iberian Peninsula. Obviously this was the first in which then accompany others: corporate wireless network Miguel Torres, the CAR and wireless corporate networks to public bodies such as town halls: Arenys de Mar, Polinyà, Figueres, Malgrat de Mar, Reus, Tortosa, Calafell, Sant Sadurní and many others in Catalonia.
